Job description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in driving pipeline growth by following up on inbound sales leads generated from a variety of channels—including in-person events, webinars, content downloads, and website inquiries. The primary objective of this role is to engage leads via telephone (primary), email, and social media to schedule product demonstrations or sales meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively follow up on inbound sales leads using phone, email, and social media channels.

  • Engage prospects in discovery conversations and effectively communicate the value proposition of our GRC and compliance management platform.

  • Qualify leads and secure appointments or product demos for the sales team.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions within HubSpot.

  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to improve lead quality and campaign effectiveness.

  • Provide excellent customer service by handling and following up on inquiries that come through the help desk or support channels.

  • Quickly develop a strong understanding of our products and services and translate that knowledge into compelling outreach efforts.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar business development or inside sales role within a B2B technology or compliance-related company.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding outreach and conversion targets.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone and online.

  • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation, independence, and accountability.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Experience with CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach) preferred.

  • Comfortable working in a remote team environment.
