Code Challenge
We believe that developers love to work with equally curious and talented team-mates, what better way to get to know you than through a development challenge and some tongue in cheek coding fun! To gain insight into your coding style, problem-solving skills, and how you integrate AI into your workflow, we ask you to solve a few Advent of Code puzzles (https://adventofcode.com/events):
Select Your Problems
Choose any year and a few days whose puzzles you find interesting.
Complete both stages of each day’s puzzle.
Repository Structure
Repo Name: yourname-advent-of-code
Directories: Create one directory per AoC “day” you select (e.g., day1, day2, day20!).
Contents:
Solution source code files for each stage of the puzzles.
A README.md detailing your approach, challenges, and solutions.
Any relevant test cases. (Please do not include the AoC puzzle text or inputs directly.)
AI Integration
Use AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as you see fit to illustrate how you speed up or improve your coding process.
Briefly note in your README.md where AI-assisted development was particularly helpful (e.g., generating boilerplate code, suggesting optimizations).
Video Submission
Record a short video (no more than 15 minutes) covering:
A quick overview of the AoC problems you tackled.
Challenges you faced and how you overcame them (including any AI tools used).
What you learned in the process or found particularly interesting.
This video helps us understand your decision-making and communication style.
